About Bethany Skipper

Since the early 1980's, I have been involved with computers and education. There weren’t too many things technology in the 1980's, but I was fortunate enough to be assigned a temporary Kelly Girl summer job working with a computer programmer. After a summer of working and learning, I went back to college for the fall term and changed my major to “Data Processing”. Since those early programming days, almost every job I have had has been technology-related; many of them were teaching technology, a blended of both of my loves. I’ve been fortunate to have a variety of experiences which always seemed to lead to my next position, I taught computer classes at the middle and high school levels, owned my own computer services business for over 10 years, I served as full-time computer science faculty at a Florida State College, and I continue to fulfill my love of teaching as an Associate Faculty member at Valencia College while working full-time as a system’s analyst. I love that technology changes, evolves and provides a built-in lifelong learning opportunity each and every day for me and those that I engage with.
