About Bethany Stairs

I am the Medical Director at Wallace Medical Concern, a small community clinic in East Portland, OR. I am also a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and still see patients about a third of the time. As part of my managerial duties, I oversee the Clinical Quality Manager, the Panel Managers, the Nurse Manager, and the Patient Care Coordinators. I work closely with our Operations Manager and Nurse Manager to keep our clinic running smoothly and efficiently. I have been in the medical field since becoming an RN in 2005 and completed my MSN to become an FNP at UCLA in 2009. I completed a Leadership Fellowship at Duke University in 2020 and completed my HealthCare MBA in June 2023. I graduated from Frontier Nursing University with my Doctor of Nursing Practice in September 2024. I am a single mom by choice to my wonderful daughter Charlie Jean and we live in Portland, OR with our dog Talula. I love to travel and am so excited to share this with my daughter. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Bringing friends and family around a table to share a meal and a glass of wine brings me so much joy and fulfillment. I am an Enneagram 8 and identify a lot with the Protector role. especially in how I manage and approach friendships. I am a lifelong learner and hope to be continuously growing.
