About Bethany Vasquez

I was born and raised in New York City and am a Media Arts and Sciences major with a concentration in Computer Science as well as an Economics minor at Wellesley College. I first became interested in Economics when I took my first economics course in high school. I loved how everything that I was learning was connected to the real world. I have continued to develop this interest at Wellesley through further studying Economics at the Micro and Macro level as well as beginning to develop an interest in the applications of economics in education. In the long-term, I hope to use the knowledge that I have gathered at Wellesley to create something that makes change. I don't entirely know what that is yet, but I am determined to do so. Outside of academics, I am passionate about reading, writing, and photography. My passion for photography is what has pushed me in the direction of a Media Arts and Sciences major and my curiosity and newly developed passion for computer science has influenced my concentration.
