About Bethany Weston

As a Product Development Senior Scientist at TC BioPharm, I’ve worked on developing innovative GDT-Cell immunotherapies that target a variety of cancer types. Most recently I’ve been involved in Assay Development with the aim of developing robust cell-based assays to assess the function, potency and extended characterisation of cell therapy products to support ongoing Product Development and for use in QC as GMP-compliant release assays. I have 7 years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry, leading on and contributing to multiple projects in Product Development, from writing project proposals and creating experimental designs to producing written reports. I have a Master's degree in Biomedical Genetics from Newcastle University, with a specialism in cancer genetics. I have applied skills and expertise in cell culture, flow cytometry, cell-based assay design, stem cell differentiation, molecular biology, fluorescence microscopy and data analysis. I also have experience in following GMP, GLP, HSE, SOPs, RA, COSHH, and BioCOSHH standards and regulations. I am passionate about advancing the field of immunotherapy and cancer treatments more broadly, and I’m actively looking for new opportunities to grow and learn.
