About Betty Stack
North Carolina Association for Developmental Education State Board Member/ Western ChairKellogg Institute Developmental Educational SpecialistNominee for Staff Member of the Year 2018 at Cleveland Community CollegeRowan Cabarrus Community College Excellence In Teaching Award Winner 2007, 2009, and 2011Outstanding Employee Award Rowan Cabarrus Community College 2010I love administration but my first calling is the academic classroom. This is where it all begins. Faculty are the heart of an organization, on the front lines every day facing the challenges of teaching material to students, but most importantly grooming life skills. In order for future generations to excel and survive in a rapidly changing society, critical thinking skills are imperative. I can teach under a tree, with a laptop or without. I am a communicator and I believe we are all teachers in our fields- professionally and personally. Life is about choices and a positive attitude. I have been through a lot of experiences which have taught me valuable lessons in leadership and mankind. Trust yourself and be true to yourself first in all situations.
