About Bev Peel

For the last thirty years, I have worked almost exclusively with First Nations communities to help with governance, healthcare, and economic development. My background in early learning and childcare policy development and my employment with Federal and First Nations health authorities has helped me to earn my stripes. My most recent employment was with Athabasca Health Authority (A.H.A.) as Executive Director of Community Services. I now work in a consulting capacity for A.H.A. and others in the hospital & health care sector. Building capacity and leaders within our communities is a passion for me and I love how this work directly influences people's lives. As I work for organizations, oversee or advise on the planning and write project proposals, my goal is to build partnerships between First Nations, governments, funding agencies, and the larger society. We need to work together as people of this great province and country.
