About Beverley Bagg

Spanning 40 years of a passionate and very successful career as a professional dancer, teacher and coach, I am able to draw on this experience and offer a rich and insightful approach to teaching and coaching. I am intuitive, enthusiastic, passionate and have been commended for my attention to detail and excellent “eye”. I am able to establish an environment of positive energy and demand excellence in a nurturing and inspiring manner. In 1989 developed an interest in biomechanics and kinesiology and with this information has an approach to training dancers in a safe, nurturing environment. Understanding exercise physiology gives me an in-depth knowledge and awareness of the physical form facilitating a sound and technically wholesome training. With the help of a diploma in The Science of Human Movement and extensive research, I specialize in exercise dynamics and its relation to dance. This includes strength training and rehabilitative programs. I have integrated this approach into the format of a professional ballet class. It is critical as a mentor and teacher to encourage and inspire young dancers in a healthy environment, one in which they appreciate the gift of the art form, give them a forum in which to realize their full potential, whether to continue onto a professional dance career or just dance for the pure love of movement. I am committed to guide these dancers through their personal journey exploring the joy of movement, the rigour of discipline and the means to grow into the best they can be.
