About Beverley Ibbotson

I have over 30 years’ experience as a specialist forensic accountant. I am a Fellow of the ICAEW and have worked solely in Forensic Accountancy since 1995 gaining a breadth of experience in criminal defence, fraud investigation, expert witness, ADR and advisory work. I am an experienced Forensic Accountancy expert witness, with working knowledge of the legal process and experienced in the preparation of reports, attending Conferences with Counsel and meetings of experts to discuss and prepare statements of agreed/disagreed issues. Working across both civil and criminal defence work, my forensic accountancy instructions are generally received from solicitors, barristers, insurance companies, loss adjusters, local authorities and similar bodies. Appointments are taken as a both a single joint expert; and as an expert accountant appointed by a single party. My notable cases include: R v MW (2020) POCA arising from a large-scale OCG charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine. R v HA (2020) Financial analysis for a defendant charged with controlling & coercive behaviour. Operation Larkshot (2022) Trade-based money laundering.
