Background
About Beverley Jepson
As a Creative Administrator at North Wales Children's University, based at Wrexham University, I am dedicated to developing and designing visual materials, managing administrative tasks, and creating engaging social media content. My role involves the joint development of events, activities, workshops, and projects that aim to inspire and support young people. From October 2023 to February 2024, I played a key role in producing materials that engaged over young people across 50+ schools in North Wales. A notable project was leading the development of postcards for over young people in Wrexham to share their "big ideas" for the town, informing the Wrexham Town Board's decisions. My motivation stems from a passion for helping young people raise their aspirations, develop new skills, and find joy in extracurricular activities. With a BA (Hons) in ALN/SEND, I am committed to ensuring all young people have opportunities to engage in diverse activities. I thrive on collaboration, learning new skills quickly, and working efficiently both independently and as part of a team. One of my proudest achievements is helping to organize the many graduation ceremonies we have held for young people who accomplish 30 hours or more in extracurricular activities. Additionally, I successfully managed a large-scale project, designing and distributing postcards to schools and collecting responses to guide community planning. Through social media, workshops, and engagement events, I actively connect with the community and stakeholders, always striving to foster higher aspirations and greater engagement among young people. Working with an amazing team at NWCU, we constantly develop new and exciting projects, making my job both fulfilling and fun. My future aspirations include continuing to work with young people and communities, helping to elevate their goals and participation in meaningful activities.
