Background
About Beverly Escontrias
I am a recent graduate from Messiah University with a Chinese Studies major and TESOL minor. As a language major, I believe in the power of language. It helps us not only connect but break down barriers and eliminate prejudice and ignorance towards others. I have a solid grasp of English, Spanish, French, and Chinese. I have traveled abroad to Mexico, France and have taken online Chinese courses at National Taiwan University to further accelerate my Chinese language ability. I also have experience working with students and managing a classroom with my work as a TA and student teacher & mentor. I am currently substitute teaching at Rockwood Area School. In the future, I look to fill a role such as an ESL instructor, interpreter/translator, or tutor.
