About Beverly Schonhoff

Dr. Beverly K. Schonhoff, Ph.D. Professional Biography: My professional career previously centered around K-12 education. Specifically all aspects of school management such as finance, federal programs, special education, transportation, facilities, technology, curriculum-instruction-assessment, food service, and extra-co-curricular activities. I received a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Study from the University of Missouri St. Louis, a Specialist in Education Degree, a Masters in Education Degree, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. As a superintendent I was involved with the Missouri Association of School Administrators, Kansas-Missouri Superintendent's Forum, League of Women Voters, National Association of Professional Women, Rotary, and the Chamber of Commerce. I have experience as an art teacher K-8, as an assistant high school principal, as a high school principal, and as a superintendent. During my career in public school education I worked for two school districts spanning twenty-eight years. My hobbies and interests include gardening, traveling, writing and illustrating children's books. I am drawn to, and passionate about charitable organizations such as St. Jude Children's Network and local non-profits like the Kenny Rodgers Center that provide specialized professionals such as Occupational Therapists or Speech Pathologists to local, public schools for the benefit of children. The expense of providing these services is offset by annual fundraising events which I participate in and the services are provided to children who truly need them. June 2013 I retired from public school education, however, it is appropriate to note that a personal goal is to never truly retire. I believe that each day provides an opportunity for achievement, and I do not intend to waste a moment. Currently I serve in different capacities for multiple universities. Dr. Beverly K.
