About Bhadra Santhi Kumar

I am an Electronics Engineer turned Neuroscientist with 8+ years of research experience and expertise in Computational Modelling. Proficient in MATLAB and Python, I leverage these coding languages to drive my investigations. My current focus lies in assessing the suitability of Parkinson's Disease (PD) patients for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) through a robust quantitative measure. My research involves in-depth analysis of the diagnostic data of PD patients and building a machine learning pipeline to develop an objective tool for effective DBS patient selection. During my doctoral studies, I led the Neurovascular Team at IIT Madras, gaining valuable experience in project management and leading research endeavors from conception to publication. I also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, which have proven invaluable in effectively disseminating research findings and fostering collaborations within interdisciplinary teams. Along with academics, I keep alive my passion for dance. I am currently studying Mohiniyattam (a graceful dance form from South India).
