About Bhargav Thaker

Bhargav possesses extensive experience in the field of credit risk and monitoring, financial research, and corporate banking operations. He graduated in the Master of Management (International Accounting & Finance) program from the Ontario-based University of Windsor's Odette School of Business in April 2023. Prior to that, he was associated with ICICI Bank for over 7 years, based out of Mumbai, India as a Credit Risk and Monitoring professional in the Corporate Banking Group. In the past, Bhargav worked with various reputed organizations including Moody’s Analytics, HSBC, and Tata Consultancy Services. He acquired an MBA in Finance & Banking specialization under ICICI Bank Business Leadership Programme in 2015. He also has a Bachelor's and Master's of Commerce (Accounting & Financial Management) from the renowned Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat. In order to reinvent himself, upskill his academic credentials, and expand his professional horizons, Bhargav moved to Ontario, Canada in December 2021. During this time, he has been able to acquire real-time work exposure to various industries including financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, trading, security & surveillance, entertainment, and education sectors, either in the form of part-time employment or as a volunteer. He volunteered as a Math and Risk Analyst in the Odette School of Business's in-house investment fund named, John Simpson Odette Student Investment Fund, holding a portfolio value of then CAD Bhargav was also actively involved in various knowledge-sharing activities within the University, by means of taking up part-time contract roles including being an Accounting Tutor, Research Assistant, and Exam Proctor. In July 2023, Bhargav joined Meridian Credit Union, which is Ontario's largest credit union, with more than Members, as a Commercial Analyst in Business Banking team. Most recently, Bhargav has been promoted to the position of Senior Commercial Analyst within the Diversified Services team.
