About Bianca Duong

With a deep commitment to empowering and guiding young minds, I have proudly served as an academic tutor since 2019. Over the years, I've honed my ability to support students across various subjects, fostering an environment that encourages both academic achievement and personal growth. This role has allowed me to work closely with students, identifying their unique needs and helping them realise their potential, something I find incredibly fulfilling. Alongside my tutoring experience, I’ve also developed a strong background in customer service through roles at Woolworths and JayJays. In these positions, I’ve cultivated an ability to connect with people from all walks of life, offering exceptional service and creating positive, lasting experiences. My passion for customer satisfaction and relationship-building has been a central aspect of my professional development.I have also been fortunate to participate in a range of prestigious programs and initiatives that have enriched my skill set. My involvement with organizations such as James Cook University (JCU), the University of Queensland (UQ), Queensland Youth Parliament, Santos Australia, and Country to Canberra has allowed me to explore diverse fields. From science and medical education to parliamentary affairs, these experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective and the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that drives positive change. My high school years were marked by a combination of academic excellence and extracurricular involvement, both of which earned me several distinguished awards. Among the honours I received were the JCU Shield, the CQU Vice President Award, and recognition as one of the Top 50 Trailblazers in the Art of Smary. I was also named the recipient of the Gladstone Regional Council Mayor’s Youth Award, the Rotary Club of Gladstone Bursary Award for Service to the Community, and the Young Women in Public Affairs Award by Zonta International. Additionally, I had the privilege of being recognised as the Most Outstanding First-Year Executive by the Queensland Youth Parliament. These experiences, awards, and opportunities have shaped not only my professional trajectory but also my passion for service, leadership, and community involvement. Whether in tutoring, customer service, or my broader educational and community engagements, I am committed to making a positive impact and helping others reach their goals. I continue to seek out new ways to grow, collaborate, and contribute, always striving to make a meaningful difference.
