About Bianca Kahl

I’m an experienced researcher and evaluator with a background in psychology and mental health, and nine years of experience delivering impactful insights across the public sector, not-for-profits, and academia. I’m passionate about using evidence to drive meaningful change, and to create safer and healthier futures for all Australians. My work spans a broad range of subject areas including mental health and eating disorders, health and aged care, safety, and community attitudes and behaviours. I also have extensive experience leading evaluations of services, communications, projects, and programs—helping organisations understand what works, for whom, and why. This work has directly contributed to the improvement of government and not-for-profit initiatives across Australia. Currently, I hold the role of Senior Evaluation Officer at eSafety, where I lead the design and delivery of evaluation activities within an expert mixed-methods team. Our work supports eSafety’s mission to make Australians safer online by informing strategy, policy, and programs across key issues like cyberbullying, parenting in the digital age, and image-based abuse. Previously, I was a Client Lead at Verian, a specialist research, evidence, and advisory business. In this role, I partnered with government and not-for-profit clients to deliver rigorous, meaningful research. I also managed Verian’s Mental Health Research and Evaluation Practice, supporting clients across the mental health and wellbeing sector.
