About Bianca Myrick
I am the founder and executive director of Pretty Purposed, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring communities to empower young women and girls. In addition to my role as executive director of Pretty Purposed, I am a consultant for Mentor Virginia, where I am a part of a team that supports the work of over 300 youth organizations around the state of Virginia. I am a 2010 graduate of Virginia State University, where I now serve as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, teaching other students about the nonprofit sector, human service work, and philanthropy. I also have a masters degree in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and I hope to receive my certificate in nonprofit management soon. In addition to being a grassroots nonprofit leader, I dedicate my time advocating for funding for Black and Brown led organizations, as a founding board member of Collective 365. My ultimate goal is to continue advocating for women, girls, and families through her work as a nonprofit leader, domestic violence advocate, and my consulting career.
