About Bianca Robbins

I am a current Griffith University Clinical Exercise Physiology student, aspiring to pursue a career as a physiotherapist with particular interest in the area of dance conditioning and injury rehabilitation.My interest in dance physiotherapy stems from my background dancing for over 16 years. A career in physio would allow me to combine my passions for learning and dance into one. My insight as a dancer allows me to realise the demands of young dancers and in this degree I hope to learn how to further my knowledge of movement and guide them in injury prevention through conditioning techniques, as well as be able to assist with the rehabilitation of injuries. Experience in Allied Health as a Chiropractic Assistant - receptionist duties including phone etiquette, medical billing, data entry, interpersonal and organisational skills, becoming familiarised with health care and medical terminology. Dance teacher - guiding young dancers in stretching, strengthening and movement. Skills gained in communication with children, organisation of classes - short and long term learning goals, knowledge in basic anatomy and movement.Passion for movement, health and well-being. I aspire to assist young dancers to maintain the optimum health and well-being required to meet their demands as dancers and future general health and quality of life.
