My name is not just "good", I define it. As an IT Manager, I've learned that most people have misconceptions about Management in general- We are often feared and talked about behind our back by our employees- A manager is someone to report your right and wrong doings- Management will only care about the business model more than the employees because "we are replaceable." Most people forget that the employees are what drives a company, right behind product or service. I strongly believe that by improving the foundation of your relationship between you and your employees are vital. By providing necessary tools to helping your staff succeed, ultimately leads to your success as an organization. Searching for ways to simplify process(es) while abiding by your company's policies (and possibly budget) can go a long way. Your employees will know your value and will not be afraid to speak highly of you, due to your accomplishments. Should you ever find yourself in a position where you have management that is challenging, I encourage you to take the stand and improve your situation by doing things by the book and keeping that team player mentality in your mind. If you don't grow with that organization for all the good that you have done, another individual or company will see your success. For a long time, I have always believed in two things- Band-aids are still classified as problem. Fix it with no excuses- Teamwork makes the dream work.
