I am a hardware engineer with a Red Seal Electrician 442A certification and over six years of experience in the electromechanical field. I work at Metro Compactor Service, a leading provider of waste and recycling equipment and services in Canada, where I design and develop innovative and efficient solutions for various automated machines. In my current role, I support internal and external teams at an engineering and technical level, leveraging my expertise in PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and control system design. I am involved in all aspects of hardware development, from preparing electrical equipment specs, datasheets, and purchasing requisitions, to designing control schematics and wiring diagrams, to reviewing vendor designs for compliance with technical specs and application standards. I also establish scope of work, cost estimates, and deliverable lists for projects, and provide effective and efficient troubleshooting expertise on all automated machines using electrical schematics and PLC logic. I have successfully completed multiple projects involving new panel builds, installations, and modifications, demonstrating a sense of urgency, collaboration, and quality in my work.
