About Biljana Riggi

As a Registered Nurse I have been fortunate to share my experiences with fellow collegues to help adhere to best practice. Clinically, I am able to safely teach students and nurses best practice and guide them to their full potential. I have demonstrated and created several educational sessions as a NPC (Nurse Practice Consultant) and, as a Director of Care, was able to effectively bring my staff to a higher level of confidence through their nursing skills and assessments. My commitment to teaching is highlighted via the passion and dedication I have to better oneself through education. This also has allowed me to show my staff what teamwork is all about and that no matter how long you have been nursing that there is always something to learn. I demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills. With my role as Nurse Practice Consultant I was able to discuss with nurses best practice and the challenges that today’s nurses encounter while continuing to instill the basic fundamentals that some nurses tend to forget. My experience as a manager has successfully allowed me to be effective with budgets, scheduling and problem solving.
