As the Chief Underwriting Officer for Specialty Solutions at Intact, I lead a team of underwriters and risk engineers who specialize in various sectors such as property, casualty, auto, financial, engineering, marine, programs, construction, renewable energy, and oil and gas. With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with each sector.My key responsibilities include setting underwriting standards and quality, managing portfolio performance, governance, and control, developing underwriting strategy and risk appetite, and overseeing national risk engineering and inspection services. I am passionate about delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders while ensuring the long-ter/ m sustainability of our business. Qualifications include BA (Hons.) in Business Management from The University of Sheffield Business School and Chartered Insurer.
