About Bill Carter

My work in financial planning offers me the chance to help people preserve and grow their wealth so they can live well and provide a legacy for their loved ones. Since joining the burgeoning field of financial planning in the 1970s, I’ve built the type of firm I like to do business with. Founded upon the pillars of competency, service and client education, CFM has become a trusted advisor with well over $800M in assets under management. The Carter Education Partners initiative produces several exclusive annual events and series geared toward building informed clients who, in concert with our professional advisors, are able to make sound financial decisions. I’ve enjoyed being actively involved in national and international leadership in the financial planning field for almost four decades. I’ve also been invited to present on financial planning, investments and business management to a variety of organizations, including the College for Financial Planning, the American Business Women’s Association and the Korea Financial Planning Association. Over the years I’ve enjoyed my role as a print and broadcast media resource for institutions including The Wall Street Journal, London Financial Weekly and Money Magazine. My personal key to success and happiness has been a commitment to giving back to my profession, my community and my alma mater. The CFM team shares this dedication to selfless service by providing volunteer leadership in more than 60 organizations.
