I’m currently serving as Advisor: Corporate Finance, guiding the executive of AfriTin Mining on a range of options to continue to grow the materially scalable Uis Tin Mine in Namibia. In addition to providing transaction advisory services to various other executive teams and company boards, I remain open to new board positions. My skillset is based on + 20 years’ experience spanning corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, financial modelling and valuations, fundraising and investor relations acquired in London-based investment banks (Societe Generale, RBS/ABN AMRO), and various mining and mineral resources majors (Anglo American) and juniors (Alufer Mining and Bushveld Minerals). A combination of banking, junior and major mining house, and corporate and operational experience translates to: a diverse skillset across business technical disciplines insights into diverse business risks and opportunities and innovative funding mechanisms understanding the agendas and perspectives of different transaction stakeholders a deep interest and focus on the growth of junior miners into producing mining companies Transaction experience: Led +20 deals (ave. US$1B) across junior mining sector and pre-2008 super-cycle on major diversified mines (Rio Tinto / BHP merger, attempted Vale takeovers). Led completion of Bushveld Minerals US$65 million fundraising process incl. announcement to market during depressed COVID-19 market. Led reverse takeover of Vametco operation, group restructuring and LSE post acquisition readmission. Led M&A teams in transaction execution activities in UK, India, South Africa and North and East Africa. Executive and board experience: Head: Corporate Finance Positions at two junior mining companies,(most recently Bushveld Minerals where through successful leadership of fundraising and transactions, I contributed to transforming Bushveld Minerals from a junior miner into a producing vanadium mining company). Member of board of directors of Bushveld Vametco Holdings and Alloys
