I'm the founder and editor of Texas Climate News, an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit magazine about climate and sustainability, published online at texasclimatenews.org. I've been an independent journalist and writer since 2003. From 2001-03, I was senior writer for environmental issues at a nonprofit investigative reporting organization. Before 2001, I was a staff reporter at four newspapers, including the Houston Chronicle. I was the Chronicle's environment writer for 17 years. I taught an undergraduate class that I conceived and developed for Rice University's environmental studies program from 2005-09 -"Environmental Battles of the 21st Century: Houston as a Microcosm."
