About Bill Knopp

I am currently a student in Network Engineering Technology and expect to graduate in April with a diploma with Honours. I feel that this diploma, coupled with my years of varied experience working in IT, retail, and manufacturing, will make me an ideal employee for any company. While computers and IT have always been my passion, working in other industries has given me invaluable experience in time management, team communication, troubleshooting, and personal organization. Additionally, I gained experience training others and procedure authoring while working in oilfield services. During my breaks from IT, I endeavored to keep my skills up to date and to continue learning new ones. My quest to constantly learn and be mentally challenged has pushed me to learn website design, using ‘Joomla!’, and to continue to develop my scripting and programming skills using Python, C#, and Powershell. I also have built a small network consisting of 2 servers and some networking equipment from Cisco and HP to help keep my network management skills relevant. In May of 2022, after completing the Network Engineering Technology program at NAIT, I will be looking to enter the workforce in an IT-related role once again.
