I enjoyed an extraordinary 37-year army career, culminating in my appointment as Garrison Sergeant Major London District from 2002-2015. Without doubt, my role wasn’t just a rare honour shared by an elite band of army men, but the best job in the British Army. Renowned as the Queen’s Ceremonial Warrant Officer, I was in charge of military organisation for Britain’s biggest state occasions including; Trooping the Colour, State Opening of Parliament, Festival of Remembrance, 2011 Royal Wedding, Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the funerals of the Queen Mother and Baroness Thatcher. My career earned me the OBE and MVO, in recognition of exceptional personal service to the monarch. I was also honored to receive the Freedom of the City of London. Following retirement, I relocated to the United States in 2015, to join my wife on our farm in Kentucky. However, I was invited to come and work at Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, PA. For the first year I was employed as a Lead TAC, which I enjoyed immensely. However, I was then asked to move up in the school’s hierarchy, appointed as GSM VFMAC. Furthermore, I have then began a role as a Director of Academy Admissions, Marketing and Development Director. Focusing on recruitment and retention both, visiting many schools, academies and colleges. However, I was honoured in being asked to become the Commandant of Cadets. A post I have held now for just under 2 years, of which I love dearly. I also have enormous expertise to share as a Military Consultant with the right organization. I find working with the young men in the Academy, up to and including Twelve Grade students, and the young men and women, primarily ECP (Early Commissioning Program) to be so rewarding to be with and supporting on a daily basis. I find them all inspiring! I am also available as a Motivational Speaker. I share my experiences ranging from a young infantryman in the Falklands War to choreographing the military side of Britain’s historic events, and the occasion I ‘voiced’ a range of kids’ action toys!
