About Bill Odowd

Bill O’Dowd is the Founder and CEO of Dolphin (NASDAQ: DLPN), a leading independent entertainment marketing and production company. With its wholly-owned subsidiaries—42West, The Door, Shore Fire Media, Elle Communications, The Digital Dept, Special Projects & Always Alpha—Dolphin provides strategic marketing, publicity, and creative branding services to top brands in film, television, music, gaming, culinary, sports, fashion, beauty, and hospitality. In addition, Dolphin’s legacy content production division (Dolphin Entertainment) has produced a variety of feature films, television series, and award-winning digital programming. Bill is also deeply involved in philanthropy and education. He serves on the Leadership Council of United Way Worldwide since its inception in 2012 and on the Board of Trustees for United Way since 2023. For over 25 years, Bill has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami, teaching film and television business to communications students. Bill earned his law degree from Harvard Law School, graduating with honors, and holds a Master’s Degree in Modern European History from Creighton University, where he was also named a 1st-Team Academic All-American by USA Today.
