Experienced Professional Engineer (Chemical), licensed to practice since 2001 with 20+ years experience in applied research, process engineering and product R&D. Previous positions include Product Development Manager (CGT), Adjunct Professor of Chemistry (University of Guelph), Senior Research Scientist (Trojan Technologies / Danaher Corporation), Sessional Lecturer (University of Waterloo), Senior Research Engineer (DCL International Inc.) and Process Engineer (Husky IMS). Significant experience and track record of success in technical project leadership, strategic planning and tactical execution of research projects and programs. Core competencies include heterogeneous catalysis and chemical reaction engineering, solid acid catalysis, photocatalysis, chemical kinetics and reaction mechanisms; Green Chemistry, nanotechnology and catalysis for fine chemicals, environmental and energy applications; advanced materials research and formulations; synthesis and characterization of functional nanomaterials; novel multiphase reactors including catalytic distillation and UV photoreactors; process engineering; statistical analysis, analytics and design of experiments.
