About Bill Schwan

Throughout my IT career I have participated in all phases of the software applications development life cycle - from project definition and requirements analysis, through database and process design, construction, testing, documentation, implementation and user training. This experience has spanned multiple hardware and software platforms, using both structured and object-oriented methodologies. Having developed and supported a wide variety of business applications across many different industries, I am able to rapidly acclimate to new business processes, software and hardware. In addition to my experience, I believe that my conscientious work ethic, self-motivation, strong communication and leadership skills, and desire to learn new business applications and IT technologies are amongst my greatest assets. I enjoy working in team environments, and have performed the roles of project manager, team leader and team member. Specialties: Database programming (Oracle, Sybase, DB2, SQLServer, PL/SQL, SQL); web development with HTML, XML, Java, Javascript; UNIX/Linux development with scripting; mainframe programming with COBOL, JCL, CICS.
