About Bill Sidaway

William (Bill) Sidaway has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry combined with operations and maintenance of communications systems in mission-critical transit and public safety services on a 24/7 schedule. He has extensive experience working on design-build-operate-maintain projects, including both greenfield and brownfield projects, and providing support for day-to-day communication activities for 50 public safety agencies, including police, fire, ambulance, and transit. Bill has experience in coverage design; propagation characterization; subscriber gear performance analyses; coverage surveys; licensing; microwave networks, closed-circuit television systems, fibre-optic systems, private automatic branch exchanges, public address systems, and control centre build-outs; cutover planning; DC power distribution; battery backup; facility construction; and site development. Overall transport experience Bill has been responsible for 15 communication subsystems, including Guideway Intrusion, Building Management, closed-circuit television, Access Control, Radio, Tunnel Radio, SCADA and information management systems. Analyzed TIDS current PLC ladder logic and has performed PLC programming. Negotiated contract requirements with vendors and customers, developed schedules and timelines for subsystems and project milestones, managed equipment staging facilities, provided technical support and guidance for all subsystem-related requirements, reviewed all design review and testing documentation, provided technical design support on all in-house system designs, and worked with project engineers and manages an in-house staging facilities.
