About Billy Brittingham

Working inside and alongside companies in the areas of corporate communications, corporate social responsibility, and organizational change, I have spent 25 years helping to transform companies. I am passionate about companies with a social vision, companies that understand and seek to reduce their negative impacts, companies that seek to create value for all stakeholders, not just investors. As Director, Internal Communications at Cengage I am proud to be working for a company with a mission. We have all seen education change lives; we have also seen potential unrealized due to lack of access, lack of engagement, lack of effectiveness. At Cengage we’re creating breakthroughs in technology-enabled learning and instruction that increase educational outcomes. And we are aggressively addressing the #1 industry issue: affordability. Great learning tools are of no use to students who can’t afford them! I work every day to create and sustain a dynamic company culture in which employees are engaged and equipped with everything they need to deliver value to all Cengage stakeholders: investors, fellow-employees, authors, instructors and most importantly, students and end-users. My personal and professional goal is to position Cengage as the envy of its industry and as an exemplar of what is possible when global employees are mobilized in pursuit of shared business and social value.
