About Billy Council

Billy is the founder of the CouncilHim Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose main mission is to inspire, empower, and equip young men of color to further their education and pursue career goals. The CouncilHim Foundation has not only helped hundreds of youth but adults and families as well through multiple resources, support, and efforts within various communities. As a versatile, results-driven, non-profit professional with over 10 years of expertise in cultivating community-client relations, Billy has been highly successful in building corporate partnerships to promote social and economic progress for marginalized communities. Billy is highly skilled in leading productive teams, implementing strategic plans and procedures, and successfully driving social impact and community outreach efforts. Billy produced a riveting behind-the-scenes documentary for Nickelodeon entitled Little Ballers with Executive Producer Crystal McCrary, Executive Producer and musician Lupe Fiasco, and NBA star Amaré Stoudemire, which received an NAACP Award nomination for Best Children's Film. And to follow up on the critically acclaimed documentary “Little Ballers”, in 2017 Coach Billy co-produced “Little Baller Indiana”. His awards include; Harlem’s Man of Year Award for Outstanding Community Service, Bronx Leadership Academy and the Unlock Your Dreams Award, the Proclamation Award from New York Senator Bill Perkins (30th District), the Certificate of Recognition Leadership and Service from New York State Senator, Cordell Cleare and nominated for the Social Impact Award from the Harlem Festival of Culture (HFC).
