About Billy G.

Billy Glassner is a brand builder with over 25 years of sales and marketing management in the fashion, entertainment, and outdoor spaces. Since 2008, he has also been the Director of Partnerships for the Newport Festivals Foundation (producer of the annual Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals). After many years of managing these two parallel careers, Billy is merging them into one. He has recently formed his own agency, Big Happy Dinosaur, dedicating his energy to projects within the music and media spaces. In his early professional days, Billy formed his own artist management company in San Francisco. With two regionally successful bands on his roster, Billy immersed himself in this work and learned the ropes of the music business from the ground up. After the break up of his most promising band, he transitioned to brand building starting at Levi Strauss & Co. and then on to Reebok, Timberland, Burton Snowboards, Adidas, and KEEN. Billy currently resides in Rhode Island with his wife, two children, and two friendly mutts. When he is not tending to the garden or his fairly extensive record collection, Billy can be found with his family in the salty waves of Newport or the green mountains of Vermont.
