About Billy Midwinter

I’m a bilingual roboticist with a background in cybersecurity, red teaming, and hands-on hardware/software systems. Most of my work revolves around troubleshooting robots in real-world environments, digging through software stacks, integrating payloads, debugging issues, and keeping complex systems running in the field. I currently support global robotics operations, working between field teams and engineering teams to investigate problems, validate hardware, fix configuration and system issues, and improve operational workflows for autonomous robotics platforms. My background includes Linux, Docker, networking, robotics deployments, hardware diagnostics, SDR/IMSI detection tooling, drone hardware assembly, and full-stack technical troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking, and operational systems. I also have a strong interest in red teaming, penetration testing, wireless security, SDR experimentation, and offensive security workflows. I enjoy understanding how systems work at every level - whether that’s robotics platforms, infrastructure, embedded devices, networking, or security tooling - and I prefer hands-on technical work over purely theoretical environments. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time experimenting with self-hosted AI workflows, cybersecurity tooling, automation, and emerging technology.
