I was accidentally programming for strangers on the internet at 14 years old, but my parents believed that there were only three jobs in the world: doctor, lawyer and banker. With over two decades of experience in capital markets, I am a results-driven finance professional who has been at the forefront of the intersection of finance and technology. Having taught myself to code at the age of 13 and honed my financial expertise over a 20-year career in investment banking, I am deeply passionate about being of service to entrepreneurs. I have a proven track record of leading teams in covering the full gamut of investors from sophisticated hedge funds to sovereign wealth and successfully raising funds for, and taking to IPO, some of the most disruptive tech companies of our generation, such as Alibaba, Meituan, Razer, SEA Group, Gojek, and more. In the last 4 years, I have been honoured to be a trusted strategic partner to C-Suite executives in the leading unicorns of South East Asia, leveraging my passion for technology and finance to guide and build high-performing teams. I currently work a single family office leading investments. Here are some key insights I've learned about myself: I speak the language of tech and execs, bridging the gap between finance and technology. Financial modelling is essentially a narrative-based computer program, I enjoy crafting compelling stories through data. I read, write, and breathe financial markets and finance. I would (almost) do it for free Technology is an integral part of my life, and I'm always on the lookout for those "wow" moments that create value for both my companies and myself. I find great fulfilment in hiring and nurturing talent, and seeing their success brings me immense joy. Education and learning are fundamental to who I am, from my charity that educates high school kids about entrepreneurship to my insatiable curiosity for knowledge. I thrive in chaotic environments and enjoy bringing order to chaos through efficient processes and technology. I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get hands-on with the work that makes me happy.
