Hello! I’m Billy—a highly motivated and extroverted student in McMaster University’s Integrated Business and Humanities program, also pursuing a minor in Innovation, where I’m sharpening my business acumen and aligning it with my values of making change and building new ideas. I thrive on collaboration, whether it’s leading a team, mentoring peers, or contributing to high-stakes projects. My energy is contagious, and I bring a unique mix of creativity and strategic thinking to everything I do, from case competitions to workplace challenges. Currently, I’m a Merchandising Intern at Metro and VP of Partnerships for DeGroote’s JDC Central team. Across both, I’m focused on using data-driven insights to tell compelling stories—whether it’s crafting innovative solutions in case comps or shaping store strategy through product movement and customer trends. These experiences have deepened my ability to blend storytelling with analytics to drive real impact. I’ve also grown tremendously as a Retail Supervisor at Metro, where I’ve cultivated a customer-first culture, mentored employees, and honed my problem-solving skills. I've brought that same passion to my internship with Metro’s Quality Assurance team, where I tackled food safety and operational efficiency head-on. At my core, I’m a people person who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. I’m deeply committed to fostering community and creating meaningful connections, whether it’s with coworkers, classmates, or industry professionals.
