About Bilqees Baker

All views are my own and not representative of my employer. I am an ambitious, confident and self-motivated individual that thrives in a team environment. I am passionate about helping others and inspiring those around me to maximise their own potential. Having spent my first year of articles in Academia at UCT, I developed a love for educating others through lecturing and tutoring. To date, my work experience has including lecturing, tutoring and preparing course content for the taxation department within the College of Accounting at UCT. I have also been in external audit working in the retail space. I have been exposed to audit work within the technological space, finance, retail, fast foods and renewable energy. I have been part of audits of 3 JSE listed entities with complex group structures, accounting policies and tight deadlines. In June 2024 I completed my SAICA articles and became eligible to register as a CA(SA). My positive and friendly demeanour has always been highly complimented by the senior staff. I always strive to produce quality work that is in line with my own values as well as my employer's values. My main strength is my ability to build meaningful relationships with those I work with and those I work for. When I am not auditing, I manage my social media presence on Instagram by being an influencer (@missbilqeesb on Instagram). This allows me to have a creative outlet while also managing my brand and monetizing my influence via brand partnerships. My social media brand also stems from my desire to help and inspire women. This is done through sharing my fitness and wellness journey in an organic manner. I engage with my audience by sharing my authentic lifestyle whether it be the ups or the downs. I am a mom of 2 beautiful boys which in itself is a full time job. I am a strong, courageous, hardworking and ambitious young woman. Welcome to my LinkedIn.
