About Bimal Patel

Bimal Patel is a results-oriented professional with over 20 years of research experience serving as a proxy advisory and corporate governance analyst. Bimal is a team-player with refined analytical, writing, presentation, and public speaking skills. He is experienced in managing a team and has a strong ability to coordinate and manage a process or project. Bimal is currently head of engagement and policy development at ISS. He leads ISS' global benchmark policy development process and leads U.S. engagement efforts with corporate issuers. Bimal has worked on outreach and research projects and serves as a U.S. policy authority on board/audit/shareholder rights issues. Bimal has written several papers on various corporate governance topics and has served as a featured speaker at various events. From Bimal served as a trading officer for Corus Bankshares, Inc, Asset Management Division in Chicago. Bimal is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, earning a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Economics in 1996. Bimal completed his Masters in Applied Economics with a concentration in Finance at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1997.
