About Bin Hu

I am a medicinal chemist. The invention of new chemical reactions for the efficient synthesis of structurally diverse and biologically interesting compounds have considerably fascinated me. In my PhD studies, I worked on the development of catalytic asymmetric reactions mediated by cinchona catalysts. These reactions enable the straightforward generation of versatile amines. When I was a postdoc, I focused on the discovery of first-in-class and highly selective deubiquitylating enzymes (DUBs) inhibitors for the degradation of oncogenic proteins. Currently, I'm a principle research investigator at Incyte and working on the identification of novel chemical molecules that selectively targeting mutant proteins for tumor-selective therapies.
