About Bin Jiang

I am a biomedical engineer and vascular scientist focused on developing mitochondria-based therapeutics for regenerative medicine. My research bridges vascular bioengineering, mitochondrial biology, and translational drug delivery to address critical unmet needs in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. As an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University, I lead a multidisciplinary lab that engineers organelle-scale delivery systems to restore cellular function in disease and injury. Our work integrates synthetic biology, targeted delivery, and preclinical models of diabetes, atherosclerosis, and vascular surgery to create next-generation solutions for tissue repair. We recently launched MitoWay, a platform to translate our mitochondrial delivery technology toward clinical and commercial impact. Our goal is to bring precision mitochondrial therapy to patients suffering from diabetic complications, ischemic injury, and beyond. I’m actively seeking to connect with innovation leaders, potential partners, and companies aligned with advancing mitochondrial medicine, targeted biologics, and regenerative therapeutics.
