About Binish Khan

In the midst of the pandemic, I was inspired by my family to pen dual-language children's books. In 2021, I self-published "Eita Ki?", a Bangla-English board book. Soon after, in 2022, I self-published "Aaj Kya Hua?", an Urdu-English board book. As an elementary teacher, I spend my days providing academic and emotional enrichment in the lives of children that are marginalized, English or French language learners, or facing learning disabilities. I guide my students by being sensitive to their circumstances, and strive to always develop myself professionally. I believe in lifelong learning. I am intrigued by the diversity in languages and cultures. I posses great inter-personal skills and am driven to work in a team that ensures the best possible outcomes for learners. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills, am experienced in writing individualized education plans, love to teach reading, and advocate for people with special needs and social justice. My most challenging role to date has been mother to 3 thriving and active children.
