I am an accomplished Team Leader, Educator, and Mentor with an extensive background spanning four countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Maldives, and India. My career has encompassed diverse healthcare settings, ranging from Government hospitals and Mission hospitals to Charity hospitals, University teaching hospitals, and Corporate environments. Currently, I am actively engaged in the establishment and development of Neonatology units within multi-speciality Hospitals. Notable achievements in my career include: Pioneering and establishing the Department of Neonatology at a prestigious University teaching hospital in India, achieving the distinction of being the first NNF Level 3 accredited center in the country. This recognition has been endorsed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) for the DM program and acknowledged by NNF & IAP for the Fellowship in Neonatology. Serving as the Coordinator for the Child Development Centre (KCDU) and the Perinatal Centre (SCOPE), demonstrating leadership and organizational skills in these crucial areas of child healthcare. Playing a pivotal role in the establishment of a 65-bed Children's Hospital in VHS, Taramani, Chennai, a charitable institution that significantly contributes to pediatric care. Collaborating with the Emmanuel Hospital Association to establish Neonatology departments in three rural hospitals in India, expanding access to specialized neonatal care in underserved regions. Contributing expertise to set up tertiary-level Neonatal services at Treetop Hospital in the Maldives, enhancing healthcare options for the local community. Holding the position of Head of Pediatrics and Neonatology at MGM Healthcare Chennai, where I have consistently demonstrated leadership and medical expertise. Successfully establishing Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in three other multi-specialty hospitals in Chennai, improving the quality of neonatal healthcare across the city. My diverse experience and commitment to advancing neonatal and pediatric care have enabled me to make significant contributions to the healthcare field.
