About Bipanpreet Kaur

As a fourth-year Biobehavioral Health student with a minor in Health Policy and Administration, I’m fiercely passionate about the intersection of law and healthcare. Through my academics, I have honed my skills in addressing health equity through meaningful policy and advocacy work. In particular, my honors thesis research investigates treatments for PTSD in survivors of Human Rights violations—reflecting my commitment to advancing both health equity and civil rights. My academic journey has been shaped by a range of meaningful leadership experiences. Currently, I serve as the Student Partner for the Biobehavioral Health department, representing over 1,500 undergraduate students. Before stepping into this role, I led various student organizations and campus initiatives, where I gained valuable experience through research collaborations, mentorship opportunities, and teaching support roles. These experiences have nurtured my growth as a leader and advocate, and continue to inspire my commitment to creating an inclusive and human-centered world. Beyond Penn State, I’ve deepened my dedication to global justice through a Social Justice Fellowship with Georgetown Law as well as an International Human Rights Internship with United Sikhs. From grassroots advocacy to global humanitarian initiatives, I’m driven to uplift underrepresented communities and work toward a more just future for all.
