My focus is mostly on cell-based assays, microbiology, molecular biology, protein expression and purification as well as biochemical analysis. I am dedicated, ambitious and committed in my work. I like new work tasks and challenges. I am looking for new challenges within in vitro biology in research and development. I like variation in my daily work and I am open for new adventures. My broad and solid work experience is reflected in my professional key skills- Set up and implementation of new instruments - Assay development and validation - Cell culture: mammalian cells, fungi/yeast and bacteria - SPA assays using solubilized receptors and membranes (also high throughput by using robot)- Binding kinetics and whole cell binding - Molecular biology: DNA purification, random and site-directed mutagenesis - Protein expression in flask culture and fermentation - Protein purification and characterization by chromatography and spectroscopy - FPLC and HPLC method development - Critical data analysis and interpretation, documentation and presentation Personal, people said about me- Independent structured planning - Flexible on ad hoc tasks and new ideas - Team oriented and helping - Taking responsibility to start and finish a project - Remembering the theory behind a project while doing the practical work Based on my second education as an engineer I have a good theoretical foundation in biology, biochemistry and also chemistry. I am a Dipl-Ing. Chemietechnik / Biotechnologie (4 year university education) added in a laboratory technician education. This gives me a far better theoretical understanding in the complex world of biology, biotechnology and chemistry and enables me to contribute positively to new tasks and challenges. Beside my technical qualification, my work contains - Data analysis: f.ex. GraphPad Prism - Documentation in ELN and other systems - Communicate in several different languages (English, Danish, German, French)
