About Birgit Mayr

Is currently leading the brand and placemaking team of NOI Techpark, Südtirol-Alto Adige (IT), a publicly funded organization that aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship - it is presently establishing a new innovation district (NOI) of 12ha surface and a 300 Mio budget. Over the past 15 years she honed her craft working internationally and has extensive experience working both client and agency side, and as an independent consultant. Coming from marketing & communication she soon extended her expertise to brand development working for fashion brands including Max Mara and Claudia Rosa Lukas. During the intense years at bwin Interactive Entertainment she acquired in-depth knowledge about digital brands. Coming originally from South Tyrol she always embraced the interface of two languages and two cultures making German and Italian her linguistic homes, resulting into a degree in translation and simultaneous interpreting at the University of Vienna. After temporarily living in Vienna, Dublin, Hamburg, Barcelona she is now based in Bolzano, Italy, where she also enjoys being the mother of a six-year old boy. b.mayr@noi.bz.it
