About Birgit Schneider

Whatever I do in life, I’m always aiming to make a difference. I’ve always advocated that construction projects do need a holistic Life Cycle Approach right from the beginning of the design process. Today, more than ever, the built environment is talking about sustainability measures in projects and building certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, WELL where Life Cycle Assessment and Circular Economy principles are getting more and more attention. I’m convinced that Life Cycle Assessment and the data gathered within the process is the basis to be able to make the right decisions to achieve the Net Zero goals every client/developer will and shall be aiming for. I have recently qualified as BREEAM UK New Construction 2018 & International Accredited Professional (Design & site). I plan on undertaking further training and education in environmental and sustainability subjects such as the IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management, One Click Life Cycle Assessment training, WELL AP and by researching and joining local environment groups. My greatest personal strengths are developing excellent working relationships and coordinating and motivating different project stakeholders to realize complex projects and to achieve set goals.
