About Birgit Suitsu

I've loved crafting images since I was a preteen when I got my hands on my first camera. After graduating from high school I decided to enroll in film school at Tallinn University gaining knowledge and experience in cinematography color grading editing and directing. Through my journey I realized color grading was my favorite part of the filmmaking process. In 2018 I moved to Berlin Germany to learn from the world's best. In 2019 I graduated from the legendary post-graduate Color Grading programme - UP.GRADE at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). I feel incredibly fortunate to have had this unique opportunity mentored by world's leading colorists color scientists and industry experts. I have worked in both European and Asian markets which has been an incredible experience. While most of my work has been in short-format ads and music videos I'm also thrilled to work on impactful short and feature films TV series and documentaries. Anything with a strong style mood and story makes me super happy to do my work. I also have a big sweet spot for working on 16mm and 35mm analogue film material.
