About Birgitt Bodingbauer

Birgitt Bodingbauer is a licensed Dance/Movement Psychotherapist and Somatic Awareness Coach. She is a professionally trained dancer, holds a B.A. in Cultural Studies, an M.A. in Dance/Movement Therapy, and is currently in the advanced training year for Somatic Experiencing® (trauma therapy). In her clinical practice she assists patients in the process of re-inhabiting the body as the source of emotional self-awareness and self-regulation. Birgitt has twelve years of international experience as a facilitator in a variety of settings and organizations, such as Deutsches Theater Göttingen, University of Texas at Dallas, and Ashoka Austria. In her work as a Somatic Awareness Coach she guides clients participants an intensive explorative experience focusing on the mind-body connection. By accessing the somatic realm of breathing, moving, and sensing, we tap into the core resource for mindfulness and emotional intelligence. The sessions incorporate experiential exercises, personal reflection, and concrete tools to enhance self- and other awareness and wellbeing.
