Biochemical/Chemical Engineering R&D Experience: Extensive R&D experience for production of bio-products. Participated in multiple projects for bio-products such as enzymes, biofertilizers, biofuels, and citric acid. • Bioprocessing: In depth skills in batch, fed-batch and continuous fermentation of pure and mixed cultures, aseptic techniques, bioprocess design (upstream and downstream), bioprocess scale-up; practical expertise in bioprocess kinetics and modeling. Familiar with operation under cGMP compliance. • Design of experiments and data interpretation: Practical experience in statistical design of experiments and data interpretation to improve the quality of the product, reduce the product cost and simultaneously reduce development intervals. • College/University Teaching Experience: Teaching experience in Ontario-based colleges, teaching experience at university level as a teaching assistant and laboratory mentor. Demonstrable ability to teach a wide range of courses in chemical engineering and chemistry and to develop curricula. • Molecular Biology Techniques: DNA extraction, PCR, DGGE, DNA sequencing analysis. • Spectroscopy/Chromatography: UV/VIS spectroscopy, FTIR, NIR, Atomic Absorption and Plasma Atomic Emission spectroscopy, Gas Chromatography (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Ion chromatography.
