As a MEDes student at the University of Calgary, my research is dedicated to tackling Canada's housing affordability crisis by leveraging design innovation and social sustainability in mixed-income developments. My thesis introduces a practical framework that connects theoretical insights with real-world applications, highlighting the pivotal role of design in fostering social sustainability. Tailored specifically to Calgary's housing market, this framework offers actionable solutions for stakeholders. My academic and professional journey has been shaped by a strong focus on the intersection of design and social factors in housing.
